Today, some of the nation's dairy cows are treated with artificial growth hormones in order to increase their milk production. In 1993, the FDA approved the use of artificial growth hormones after reviewing it carefully and concluded it is safe for consumers, for cows, and for the environment.

 Last April 18, Reiter Dairy relaunched its flavored milk line as Reiter Ultimate Flavored Milk. The chocolate product formula was changed to the premium quality Dean Milk Chug formula. Strawberry and whole chocolate varieties were added. The package changed to a chocolate and strawberry colored FlavorTight bottle. Paper cartons were discontinued. And a new marketing and promotion program was implemented to support the new item.
And good news has arrived! In the 4 weeks ending October 24th, Reiter Ultimate Flavored Milk has become the leading selling brand of flavored milk in Northeast Ohio. During this time, Reiter achieved a grocery store share of 27.3%. At this share level Reiter outsold all other brands of flavored milk as well as all store brands in our market.
